Eco Earth has an NJDEP Licensed Site Remedial Processional (LSRP) on staff to address the LSRP services requirements of our Clients and prospective Clients in New Jersey. Eco Earth offers competitive pricing in LSRP and environmental investigation/remediation services.

As of May 2012, the Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA) became fully effective. SRRA requires that the oversight of most environmental investigations and remediations be conducted by a Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) (notable exceptions are Unregulated Heating Oil USTs (UHOT) projects, which do not require oversight by an LSRP). Under the LSRP program, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) exercises administrative, approval and overall authority over the applicable cases and the LSRP is responsible for the management of the site investigation and/or remediation and the compliance with/means of compliance with NJDEP Technical Requirements, Site Remediation Standards and the Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites. The NJDEP maintains a greater degree of control over some situations which represent an elevated threat to human health or the environment. Since NJDEP approval for most proceeding with most facets of the site investigation and/or remediation is no longer required. The intension is that the projects can proceed more quickly. At the successful conclusion of an LSRP program project, the NJDEP no longer issues a No Further Action and Covenant Not to Sue Letter documenting the project conclusion, rather the LSRP determines that the investigation(s)/remediation(s) have been completed and issues the final project document, the Response Action Outcome (RAO) documenting this decision. Subsequent to the issuance of the RAO, the NJDEP has a period of three (3) years to audit the RAO and the supporting documentation. LSRPs in New Jersey are also bound to abide by a strict code of behavior and ethics on which the highest priority is placed on the protection of public health, safety and the environment.

The statute establishes an affirmative obligation for responsible parties to remediate the effects of contaminant discharges and the NJDEP has established fees associated with site remediations and mandatory timeframes for the completion of the important phases of the project work. In the event of non-compliance with the NJDEP requirements and/or mandatory deadlines, the NJDEP Division of Enforcement could potentially take actions, which may range from the imposition of fines to imposition of NJDEP direct oversight of the project.
